Dříve součástí celého parkového komplexu The Baobab Adventure
(zvaný též Baobab Farm nebo Bamburi Quarry Nature park).
Park vznikl roku 1971 rehabilitací lomů cementové fabriky (viz.
Haller Park). Transformace
severního lomu začala 1986 jako "projekt jednoho milionu
stromů". 1997 se areál změnil na Bamburi Nature Trails a byl
otevřen veřejnosti (jako část The Bamburi Adventure). Bamburi
Forest Trails se nachází v Severním lomu a je zde motýlí pavilon
a chovný dům (16 druhů místních motýlů) a mnoho zvířat chovaných
na volno (chocholatky, antilopky pižmové, stáda antilop losích,
oryxů, mangusty, zajíci atd.)
Formerly part of whole park complex The Baobab Adventure (named
also Baobab Farm or Bamburi Quarry Nature Park).
Park was established in 1971 by rehabilitation of cement factory
quarries (see Haller Park).
Transformation of Northern quarry began 1986 as a "One million
trees project". 1997 the area was changed to Bamburi Nature
Trails and was opened to the public (as a part of The Bamburi
Adventure). The Bamburi Nature Trails is located in Northern
quarry and there is butterfly pavillion and breeding house (16
species of local butterflies) and many animals bred freely (dikers,
sunis, herd of eland and oryx, mongooses, hares etc.) |
