Byli zde: lvi, gorily,
šimpanzi, opice, koně, pštrosi, pávi, želvy, krokodýli, hadi...
Potomci původního majitele ve spolupráci s Lagoským
státním ministerstvem cestovního ruchu plánují v blízkých letech
vzkříšení této malé zoo (s asistencí Johannesburgské Zoo).
Zoo of Ghanian businessman Biney was located in the center of the former capital in Yaba
suburb off Oyu Elegba Road between Ajibode and Biney streets.
After death of owner (1978), one of his sons took over the zoo.
Later (probably after death of the son), the zoo was closed for
financial reasons and also because the other descendants were still
children. There were: lions, gorillas, chimps,
monkeys, horses, ostriches, peacocks, tortoises, crocodiles,
snakes...
Descendants of the original owner with cooperation of Lagos
State Ministry of Tourism plan in recent years the
resuscitation of this small zoo (with assistance of Johannesbourg
Zoo). |
