největší zoo v Jihoafrické republice a jediná národní. Zoo provozuje také Biodiversity Conservation Centrum v Mokopane (dříve i v Lichtenburgu) a Emerald Animal World ve Vanderbijlparku. Dohromady je ve všech zařízeních okolo 9000 kusů a 700 druhů zvířat. Několik pavilonů, včetně velkého akvária a terária. Mnoho druhů antilop, žirafy, zebry, lvi, tygři, gepardi (i královští), medvědi, pandy červené, lachtani, sloni, nosorožci, tapíři, hroši, gorily, šimpanzi, opice, kozorožci, zubři, takini, klokani, koaly, množství ptáků (jeřábi, zoborožci, dravci, sovy, plameňáci, vodní ptáci...) atd.

The Zoo operates also Biodiversity Conservation Centres in Mokopane (previously also in Lichtenburg) and the Emerald Animal World in Vanderbijlpark. In these facilities there are altogether around 9000 animal specimen of 700 species. Several animal houses, include a large Aquarium and Terrarium. Many antelope species, giraffes, zebras, lions, tigers, cheetahs (also king cheetahs), bears, red pandas, fur seals, elephants, rhinos, tapirs, hippos, gorillas, chimpanzees, monkeys, ibexes, wisents, takins, kangaroos, koalas, many birds (cranes, hornbills, raptors, owls, flamingos, water birds...) etc.
