původně
Ekocentrum sloužící k zachování kulturního dědictví
ostrova Cres a především k ochraně supa bělohlavého. Centrum bylo
založeno nevládní neziskovou organizací Eko-centar Caput Insulae-Beli.
Po 20 letech, v roce 2013 vygradovali neshody organizace a jejího
ředitele s vedením města, což vedlo k uzavření centra a k ukončení
činnosti organizace v Beli (její ředitel založil podobné
centrum v obci Sveti Juraj, odnesl si
veškeré své vybavení, včetně voliéry a přetáhl personál). Poté bylo
centrum přejmenováno na Eko-centar Beli, které vedla společnost Društvo
Tramuntana, ale prakticky bylo po celou dobu uzavřeno a neexistovalo
(2013 - 2016). V červenci 2016 bylo centrum znovuotevřeno -
rekonstruované a pod vedením veřejné organizace JU Priroda. V
originally Eco-centre serving to preserve of the cultural
heritage of Cres island and especially to protect griffon vulture. The
centre was established by the non-governmental non-profit organization
Eko-centar Caput Insulae-Beli. After 20 years, in 2013, disagreements of
the organization and its director with the city's leadership escalated,
what led to closing of the centre and finishing of activities of the
organization in Beli (its director founded a similar centre in the
village of Sveti Juraj, he took all his equipment, including the aviary
and headhunt the staff). The centre was then renamed to Eko-centar Beli,
which was led by the society of Društvo Taramuntana, but factually was
closed and didn't exist (2013-2016). July 2016, the centre was reopened
- rebuilt and led by the public organization JU Priroda. A new visitor
centre was opened in the following year.
There is a large aviary with glassed visitor space - it serves primarily
as a rescue station, but also for educational purposes - for tourists.
In the original eco-centre there was also enclosure of donkeys, sheep
and rabbits, but it was probably abolished. |
