majiteli někdejší Ramsgate Butterfly Sanctuary
(RBS) nebyl prodloužel nájem pozemku a tak musel motýlí dům
zavřít. Následně koupil sousední pozemek s cílem postavit zde
nový moderní motýlí dům - největší na světě. Plánoval chov 112
druhů motýlů a otevření motýlího domu v roce 2013. To se však
nestalo. Mezitím byl na třetím vedlejším pozemku otevřen jiný
motýlí dům zvaný Butterfly
Valley (z internetových stránek RBS vyplývá, že majitelem
tohoto motýlího domu je zřejmě majitel původního pozemku RBS,
ale není to zcela zřejmé).
Zdá se, že k realizaci motýlího domu nikdy nedojde... Majitel má
obrovské plány, ale již mnoho let zůstává jen u plánů. Budí to
dojem více slov než skutečných činů. Od roku 2008 (nebo dříve)
existuje projekt vytvoření Butterfly Sanctuary ve všech
provincích, dosud však nedošlo k žádné. Jediným hmatatelným
výsledkem je rekonstrukce motýlího domu v Sun City a založení
několika různých motýlích asociací, které jsou však zbytečné
(možná fiktivní), jelikož byly založeny de facto sami pro sebe
(nemají žádné další členy) - SABBA (South African Butterfly
Breeding Association); CBISA (Conservation of Butterflies in
South Africa); BSSA (Butterfly Sanctuaries of South Africa)
a land lease was not renew to former owner of Ramsgate Butterfly Sanctuary
(RBS) and so he had to close the butterfly house. He
subsequently bought adjacent land with aim to build there a new
modern Butterfly House - the largest in the world. He planned
breeding of 112 butterfly species and opening the butterfly
house in 2013. It did not happen. Meanwhile, on the third land,
there was opened another butterfly house called Butterfly
Valley
(from websites of RBS follows that the owner of this butterfly
house is probably the owner of original land of RBS, but it is
not entirely clear).
It seems that the realization of the butterfly house will never
happen... The owner has huge plans, but for many years they are
still plans only. It gives the impression of more words than
real deeds. Since 2008 (or earlier), there exists a project to
create Butterfly Sanctuaries in all provinces, but so far no one
was created. The only tangible result is the reconstruction of
the butterfly house in Sun City and foundation of several
butterfly associations, however which are useless (may be
fictitious) because they were founded de facto for themselves
(with no other members) - SABBA (South African Butterfly
Breeding Association); CBISA (Conservation of Butterflies in
South Africa); BSSA (Butterfly Sanctuaries of South Africa)
