Ocean World Adventure Park is an incredible marine park which opened in
March 2004 and has quickly become the "must-see" attraction in the
Dominican Republic. The Adventure Park presents the largest man-made
dolphin habitat in the world, with the largest dolphin pool comprising
of 12 million gallons of sea water. The interactive animal programs are
unique within the industry.
Guests of Ocean World
Marine Park have the opportunity to interact one-on-one with dolphins,
sea lions, sharks, stingrays, exotic tropical birds, meet tigers and
iguanas, walk through a tropical forest, and enjoy the pool area, beach
area, restaurants and bars.
Approximately one million
visitors from around the world have come to the Dominican Republic and
participated in our unique interactive programs as seen in many travel
guides. Ocean World provides this rare opportunity in a safe environment
with an emphasis on education and entertainment.
Our main objective is to
let guests interact with our animals in their habitats and to heighten
their awareness and understanding of these truly magnificent animals and
similar species.
Ocean World Adventure
Park has made the lifetime dream of many terminally ill children come
true by participating in the Make-A-Wish program and cooperating with
other similar organizations.
Completing the unique
complex is Ocean World Marina and Casino officially opened on December
16, 2006 during a landmark event with more than 3000 guests from all
over the world, featuring a live concert with the legendary rock band
The Beach Boys.
Ocean World Marina, now
the only full-service marina located between the heavily traveled
Florida/Bahamas area and the Puerto Rico/Eastern Caribbean region, is a
state-of-the-art facility that has more than 100 wet slips that can
accommodate vessels up to 250-feet. Each slip is serviced with TV, R/O
potable water, electricity, internet access, 24-hour security, and
telephone. The 35-acre complex also features over 200 roofed dry rack
storage slips for vessels up to 35-feet in length.
The government of the
Dominican Republic has officially appointed Ocean World Marina as a port
of entry complete with immigration and customs facilities.
Additional on-site
services include weather service, laundry and showers, food/liquor
delivery, car rental service, crew amenities, shops and a marina store
with marine and fishing supplies. There is also a fuel dock and repair
services.
Adjacent to the marina
stands the landmark Ocean World Casino. The spectacular four-story
building is an architectural wonder that features extraordinary mosaics
of whales, dolphins, and tropical fish.
Each floor offers
visitors different experiences from five-star dining, great music,
gaming, spectacular ocean views, discothèque, cocktail lounges and the
feature event of our nights: the Bravissimo Show, with 26 dancers on
stage and more than 100 breathtaking costumes.
